After breakfast in your hotel, you fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, a scenic one-hour flight transitioning from the Himalayan foothills to the Terai plains, the gateway to Bardia National Park.

After getting to Nepalgunj airport, expect a bit more humidity than in Kathmandu as you are in the Terai region of Nepal. Then, you drive towards Burhan Wilderness Camps in Bardia, passing through lush forests and rural villages. En route, stop at the Black Buck Sanctuary, home to Nepal’s rare and endangered blackbucks.

After the jungle safari, immerse yourself in the rich traditions of the Tharu community with an exclusive cultural experience in the village. Upon arrival, receive a warm traditional welcome, where you’ll witness daily life of the Tharu community, from farming to craftwork. The Tharus usually live in a mud house and some of their special delicacies include Bagiya (steamed rice dumplings), Sidra (a pickle made of sun-dried fish and spices) and freshly grilled fish. Drive to Sarangkot. Visit Pema Tsal Monastery on the way

After breakfast in Dhampus, enjoy a scenic drive from Dhampus to Sarangkot. Stop at Pema Tsal Monastery, a serene Tibetan Buddhist retreat, where you can admire intricate murals, spinning prayer wheels, and the peaceful chants of monks and interact with them. Continue the journey to Sarangkot, a hilltop vantage point renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, as well as the Pokhara Valley and Phewa Lake below. The Sarangkot Mountain Lodge offers some beautiful views from its rooms, so soak in the view and enjoy your time there.

You take an early morning flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu so that you get to enjoy great views of the mountain ranges from the flight.

Kathmandu Heritage sightseeing 3 to 4 hrs

After getting to Kathmandu, you can choose to go for heritage sightseeing of the Kathmandu Valley. Firstly, you visit Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) to see panoramic valley views and spiritual serenity. Then, you explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, home to historic palaces, temples, and the Living Goddess Kumari before going to Bouddhanath Stupa, where you get to immerse yourself in the city’s rich Buddhist and Hindu traditions. Before heading back to your hotel, there will be an option for you to go to Pashupatinath Temple and see the architectural mastery of the place.
