Lowlands: The average temperature ranges between 25°C to 35°C (77°F to 95°F). Spring is an excellent time for wildlife sightings. The pleasant weather and active animals make it easier to spot various species, including tigers, rhinos, deer, and birds.

Pokhara: Trekking in the Pokhara valley is amazing in spring (March to May). The average daytime temperature is 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F), Australian Camp being colder. The forests are green, and rhododendrons bloom, making the trail vibrant. It is a busy time of the year and the trails will be full of trekkers. It’s important to prebook the hotels.

Lowlands: The average temperature ranges 30°C to 40°C (86°F to 104°F). The hot and humid weather during the monsoon season can make wildlife sightings more challenging. Some animals may seek shelter and stay hidden in the dense vegetation due to the frequent rains.

Pokhara: Pokhara valley receives a lot of rainfall in general, so monsoons will be extremely wet and humid, with temperatures ranging from around 20°C to 35°C (68°F to 95°F). The downside of the monsoon is hovering clouds affecting visibility and slippery trails with leeches all along. While early June and late September are still advisable for trekking, July and August are not very ideal.

Lowlands: The average temperature ranges between 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F). Autumn is another good time for wildlife viewing. The weather is pleasant, and the grasslands are less dense, making it easier to spot animals like rhinos, elephants, and various bird species.

Pokhara: It is the most popular time of the year to trek with clear skies and stable weather conditions. The monsoon rains will have subsided, and visibility of the mountain ranges is excellent. The temperatures range between 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F). As the region is very accessible, trails and hotels can be busy this time around.

Lowlands: The average temperature ranges from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F). Winter is another favorable time for wildlife sightings. The cooler temperatures encourage animals to come out into the open, making it more likely to spot them near rivers and watering holes. It is also a good time to spot migratory birds that travel all the way from Siberia. The days with dense low fogs are extremely cold and can compromise visibility.

Pokhara: Winter is a great time to trek in the valley. As we don’t reach significant elevation, the mountains look sparkling white on non-gloomy days. The temperatures go between 10°C to 25°C (50°F to 77°F) during daytime and can go lower at night. It is very pleasant and not very cold. The trails are not very busy and lodges are operational.

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu

Your adventure begins as you land in the vibrant city of Kathmandu. Our team will greet you at the airport and transfer you to Dwarika’s Hotel near the airport. Dwarika’s is one of the oldest hotels that combines traditional Newari architecture with modern luxury and is ideal for those seeking heritage, comfort and an immersive cultural stay.

Day 2

Kathmandu - Chitwan

Explore Kathmandu Durbar Square

After breakfast, you start the morning with a visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, a vibrant heritage site filled with ancient palaces, temples, and the home of the Living Goddess, Kumari. Stroll through its bustling courtyards, soaking in the rich history and culture.

Fly from Kathmandu to Chitwan 25 mins

After exploring Kathmandu Durbar Square, you drive to the airport for your flight to Chitwan. You take a scenic flight that takes you from the hustle and bustle city life of Kathmandu to the heart of wildlife in Chitwan. Then, you drive to Tiger Tops Tharu Lodge, an eco-friendly lodge nestled in the heart of the wilderness.

Sunset bush walk and sundowner with elephants

In the evening, embark on a sunset bush walk, where you’ll track wildlife on foot, guided by expert naturalists. Cap off the day with a sundowner experience alongside gentle elephants, as you sip your drink and watch the golden hues of the sunset paint the jungle sky.

Day 3

Chitwan Safari

	Visit the Elephant shelter and make elephant feed with mahauts After breakfast in the lodge, you visit the Elephant Camp near the Tiger Tops Tharu Lodge, where you get to interact closely with the elephants while learning about the conservation efforts. Under the guidance of experienced mahauts, you’ll prepare special elephant feed containing grasses, leaves, fruits, bark, and roots and feed them. This immersive experience provides an insightful way to connect with the elephants in their natural habitat.
	Drive to Barahi jungle lodge After you finish feeding the elephants, you drive to Barahi Jungle Lodge, nestled in the lush grounds of jungle wilderness.
	Escorted jungle safari on foot or jeep After getting to Barahi Jungle Lodge, you will be escorted for a jungle safari where there are opportunities to spot a wide array of wildlife and birds. You can choose to do the jungle safari either on foot or jeep.
	Cultural evening at the lodge Before your dinner at the lodge, you get to experience the culture of the local people in Chitwan, Tharu and Kumal community. The dancers from the local community will entertain you with a variety of dances of which the most popular is the stick dance.

Day 4

Chitwan

Jungle safari inside Chitwan National Park

Start your day with an exhilarating jungle safari deep into the heart of Chitwan National Park. Venture into the lush wilderness, where you have the chance to spot the diverse wildlife.

Sunset wildlife river safari on a dugout canoe

After the jungle safari, just before sunset you go for a peaceful river safari on a traditional dugout canoe, gliding through the calm waters of the Narayani River spotting crocodiles, birds, and other wildlife.

Day 5

Chitwan - Pokhara - Dhampus

Fly from Chitwan to Pokhara

Enjoy a scenic flight to Pokhara, where you get to see various mountain peaks during the flight.

Boating and Sightseeing hike/drive to World Peace Stupa

Start your Pokhara exploration with a serene boat ride on Phewa Lake. Then, you can choose to hike or drive up to the World Peace Stupa. The Stupa offers panoramic views of Pokhara, Phewa Lake and the mountains.

Drive or hike to the mountain town of Dhampus

After soaking in the tranquility of the World Peace Stupa, you take a scenic drive to Dhampus, a charming mountain town perched above the valley. Enjoy breathtaking sunset views of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre as you settle into the cozy Mountain Lodges of Nepal in Dhampus for the night.

Day 6

Australian Camp Day Hike - Pokhara

Hike from Dhampus to Australian Camp, and back 3 to 4 hrs

Set off on a picturesque early morning hike from Dhampus to Australian Camp, following a stone-paved trail that winds through lush rhododendron forests and terraced farmlands. The gentle ascent offers stunning panoramic vistas of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, with the majestic Machhapuchhre standing tall in the distance.

Drive from Dhampus to Pokhara 1 to 1.5 hr

After completing the hike, you drive from Dhampus to the Lakeside of Pokhara.

Evening stroll at Lakeside and dinner overlooking the lake.

Check-in to your luxury hotel at Lakeside and take an evening stroll along the sidewalk enjoying the vibe. End the day by having dinner overlooking the lake.

Day 7

Pokhara - Kathmandu

Leisure morning

Spend a leisure morning in Pokhara. You can choose to just stay back in the hotel or take a short walk and shop for souvenirs at Lakeside.

You drive to Pokhara airport for your flight back to Kathmandu.

Bouddhanath Stupa Kora and dinner

After getting to Kathmandu, you visit Bouddhanath Stupa which is one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, where you can observe Buddhist rituals and soak in the peaceful ambiance. You have dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the Bouddhanath Stupa.

Kathmandu Departure

Drive from hotel to Kathmandu airport
