After coming back from the helicopter flight to Everest Base Camp, you return to Lukla, which is one of the entry point to Everest region. Today, you set about on another helicopter trip from Kathmandu to Manalsu region and then to Pokhara. Trek from Namche to Khumjung, and to Syangboche 4 to 5 hrs | 8 kms

We take it slow and easy to the peaceful and serene settlement of Khumjung today. The green-roofed valley of Khumjung and Khunde offers several options to explore, including a monastery housing a (supposed) yeti scalp and a school established by Edmund Hillary. Upon reaching Syangboche, you’ll stay at the Everest View Hotel, one of the highest-altitude hotels in the world, where you can relax with a warm cup of tea while soaking in the majestic mountain scenery.

Proceed for the Jeep Safari crossing the Rapti River by Patela Boat to start with from Bhimle army check post. There are two choices of routes available, which our naturalists pick upon their experience on current sightings and animal movement.

After getting to Nepalgunj airport, expect a bit more humidity than in Kathmandu as you are in the Terai region of Nepal. Then, you drive towards Burhan Wilderness Camps in Bardia, passing through lush forests and rural villages. En route, stop at the Black Buck Sanctuary, home to Nepal’s rare and endangered blackbucks.

A local Tharu feast and cultural experience at a local house in the village

After the jungle safari, immerse yourself in the rich traditions of the Tharu community with an exclusive cultural experience in the village. Upon arrival, receive a warm traditional welcome, where you’ll witness daily life of the Tharu community, from farming to craftwork. The Tharus usually live in a mud house and some of their special delicacies include Bagiya (steamed rice dumplings), Sidra (a pickle made of sun-dried fish and spices) and freshly grilled fish. Spend the afternoon soaking in the scenery or exploring nearby Khumjung Village, where you can visit the famous monastery with a Yeti scalp.

Trek from Syangboche to Pangboche 5 to 6 hrs | 9 kms

The walk on the first bit is a combination of minor uphills, downhills and flats with views of the picturesque Ama Dablam mountain staying with us, followed by an arduous uphill to Tengboche. After exploring the biggest monastery of the region, we trudge on and stop at the scenic Pangboche village.

Trek from Deboche to Dingboche 5 to 6 hrs | 9.5 kms

We're greeted by the charismatic Ama Dablam in the morning. The trek to Dingboche today is only a few hours, but you will feel the altitude and notice a complete change in vegetation and landscape as we leave the tree line behind and walk the arid lands of Khumbu. We stay the night in a mountain lodge. You can either choose to rest or take short hikes to nearby hills after reaching Dingboche.

Acclimatization hike to Nangkartsang and rest in Dingboche 3 to 4 hrs | 5 kms

We take an acclimatization hike to the Nangkartsang peak or a hilltop before it. The top is just above 5000m and the surrounding hills are lower. We are rewarded with the alluring face of Ama Dablam, Makalu, Nuptse and Lhotse from this gorgeous vantage point. We slowly head down for lunch, and have the rest of the day for leisure. Spend the afternoon relaxing in Dingboche, enjoying the warm comfort of your lodge.

Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche 4 to 5 hrs | 8 kms

After a gradual uphill, we walk the wide barren flats until the white-washed rocky terrains show up. Hike past the Thukla Pass, where the Lobuche memorial sits right where our short but tough uphill ends. We take a break here to admire the grandeur of the Himalayas and pay respect to all who lost their lives in the mountains. In no time, you’ll find yourself walking on lateral moraines of Khumbu glacier before you reach Lobuche, where the air is crisp, and the anticipation for Everest Base Camp grows.

Acclimatization walk to glacier ridge 1 to 1.5 hrs | 1.5 kms

We take a short walk up to the ridge with a great view of the glacier and surrounding mountains.

Trek from Lobuche to Gorakhshep 2 to 3 hrs | 5 kms

We set off to Gorakhshep (the last settlement) on rocky trails shared by yak caravans ferrying goods. Khumbu glacier stays right next to you with tiny turquoise water bodies.

Hike to Everest Base Camp, and back to Gorakhshep 3 to 4 hrs | 6.5 kms

We leave our bags in the hotel (our home for the night), have a quick lunch, and set about to the grand prize - Everest Base Camp. Setting foot on the icy terrain surrounded by mountains on all sides is an ineffable feeling. Relish the moment by taking pictures with the massifs of Khumbu mountains on the backdrop before heading back.

Morning hike to Kalapatthar view point 3 to 4 hrs | 3.5 kms

A pre-dawn start to Kalapatthar as we set off on a grueling ascent to catch the first rays of golden light over Everest. Everest stands tall and enchanting with the other giants in the frame - Lhotse and Nuptse adjoining to the right and left from the viewpoint of Kalapatthar. Pumori perfects the frame with its imposing massif.

Fly from Gorakshep to Kathmandu 3 to 4 hrs

Trek from Lukla to Monjo 5 to 6 hrs | 12 kms

We meet the rest of our crew, arrange our baggage, have breakfast, and embark on a journey to Monjo, passing exciting suspension bridges and tiny village settlements following the Koshi river.

Trek from Monjo to Namche 3.5 to 4 hrs | 6 kms

We walk northward along the banks of Koshi and reach the entry point of Sagarmatha National Park, from where the gruelling uphill awaits before we reach the amphitheater town of Namche, nestled perfectly atop a hill and welcomes you with cozy cafes and bakeries. Settle into your premium lodge and enjoy a well-earned rest.

Trek from Namche to Hotel Everest View, Syangboche 2 to 3 hrs | 6 kms

A short but spectacular trek takes you to Syangboche, home to the Everest View Hotel, one of the highest-altitude hotels in the world. Enjoy unparalleled views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam over a warm cup of tea. Spend the afternoon soaking in the scenery or exploring nearby Khumjung Village, where you can visit the famous monastery with a Yeti scalp.

Trek from Khunjung to Dole 5 to 6 hrs | 9 kms

Trek from Khumjung to Dole (5-6hrs) and acclimatization hike (1-2hrs) house Standard Teahouse (BB) Today’s trek follows scenic forest trails with several delightful viewpoints on the way to Dole. The Dudhkoshi River keeps us company as we encounter a mix of steep ascents (to Mong La and Dole) and descents (to Phortse Tenga).

Trek from Dole to Machhermo 3 to 4 hrs

As we are at high elevation, we proceed at a gentle pace, and our trek is relatively short today. We start the day with a steep climb, followed by a gradual ascent through trails of scrub junipers. By lunchtime, we reach Machhermo. Hike around the surrounding hills for better acclimatization.

Exploration hike 1 to 2 hrs

We walk around and hike to the nearby hills for acclimatization.

Trek from Machhermo to Gokyo 3 to 4 hrs

From Machermo, the trail has a few climbs as we pass two turquoise lakes before reaching the third. Gokyo village lies beside the largest lake, where we have lunch and settle for the day.

Explore the forth and fifth lakes 2 to 4 hrs

Sunrise or sunset hike to Gokyo Ri 2 to 4 hrs

Spend the day exploring Gokyo valley and its lakes. Hike to Gokyo Ri (5,360m/17,585ft) for stunning sunrise or sunset views over Everest and surrounding peaks. Work with your guide to choose the best time for this unforgettable panoramic experience.

Trek from Lobuche to Gorakhshep 7 to 93 hrs | 5 kms

Today, our trail meanders through high-altitude terrain, revealing glacial lakes and rocky ridges. Renjo pass (also 5,360m/17,585ft) offers views of the iconic Himalayan peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.

Trek from Lungden/Thame to Namche Bazaar 4 to 6 hrs

The trail is long involving gradual ascents and descents. Forested paths will accompany us as we pass several villages before reaching Namche, where a hot shower and celebratory dinner await with the whole team.

Fly from Namche to Kathmandu 1 hr

After breakfast, we head to the helipad for our flight back to Kathmandu.

A relaxing day after the trek, with options for a spa visit or a leisurely shopping stroll to unwind and reflect on the Himalayan adventure.

Namobuddha and Bhaktapur Durbar Square sightseeing

A morning drive takes us to the peaceful Namobuddha Monastery. Join a chanting session (depending on monastery schedule). Drive to the old town of Bhaktapur, and explore peaceful courtyards and heritage. Conclude with a contemporary Newari dinner at The Nanee, before heading back to Kathmandu.
